Doctor
Mike W Miller , DVM
|
Dr. Miller was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University of California, Davis where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and agriculture. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1990. After graduation, Dr. Miller completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at North Carolina State.
Dr. Miller joined Duluth Animal Hospital in 1994. In 2004, he purchased the hospital from Dr. Dickinson, and is enjoying keeping the clients, patients, and staff in the best of care. The hospital is celebrating 30 years of service, and has grown from a 1-doctor to a 6-doctor practice. We are one of 6 AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited hospitals out of 63 hospitals in Gwinnett.
In addition to veterinary medicine he enjoys fishing, reading, snow skiing and spending time with his family. |

Robert O Dickinson , DVM
|
Dr. Dickinson was born in Glendale, California. He received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from UGA and then his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UGA in 1971. He served for 2 years in the Air Force in the Veterinary Corps. He was in private practice for 5 years in Roswell and then practiced emergency medicine in Sandy Springs before opening Duluth Animal Hospital in 1979.
Dr. Dickinson has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and has taken numerous courses in this discipline.
He and his wife, Kay have 3 grown children, Marie, Keith, Matthew, and one grandchild, Jacob. They have 2 schnauzers, 1 cat, and a bird.
Dr. Dickinson is a member of 4 different professional organizations, is a charter member of Duluth Rotary, a member of Duluth United Methodist Church, on the board of the Animal Emergency Center of Gwinnett, Advisor to the Veterinary Technician's program at Gwinnett Tech and active in community involvement.
He enjoys model airplanes, bicycling, swimming, gardening, snow skiing and his grandson, Jacob.

Beth Niagro , DVM, MS
|
Dr. Niagro recieved her Veterinary degree from the University of Georgia, where she also completed her internship. She received her Masters degree in Applied Biology and Physiology from the University of South Carolina.
She began working at Duluth Animal Hospital in 1997. Her special interests include ultrasonography and intradermal medicine.

Michelle Rosentel , DVM
|
Dr. Rosentel grew up in Rochester, New York. She received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Wisconson-Madison. She graduated from the University of Florida Veterinary School in 1999.
Dr. Rosentel enjoys canine and feline medicine.
She lives with her husband, two sons, and two cats, Sebastian and Alley. In her spare time she enjoys running. |

Heather Harkins , DVM
Heather Harkins was born in Port Allen, Louisiana, 15 minutes from Baton Rouge. She attended Louisiana State University, followed by LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She was awarded "Excellence in Surgery and Medicine" prior to graduating in 2006. She was then accepted into an internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, NC, for a year. She began at Duluth Animal Hospital in August of 2007.
Dr. Harkins is currently living in Brookhaven with her husband, her newborn daughter, Layla, and three dogs, Joe, Lucy Lou, and Barkley. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include preventative behavior disorders, internal medicine, and dermatology. She enjoys outdoors activities such as camping, hiking, skiing, and whitewater rafting. Her favorite camping trip was to Glacier National Park in MT. |

Corby Holson , DVM Dr. Holson was born and raised in South Carolina. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She graduated from the University of Georgia School of Veterinary medicine in 2006 where she received an award for excellence in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and the Avian Medicine Excellence award.
Dr. Holson's special interests include soft tissue surgery, behavior and dermatology. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. At home she is an avid runner and enjoys traveling and outdoor activities with her husband David and their dog Alfie. |  View |

Ms. Chris Early
|
Chris joined the hospital in 1990 as a receptionist, worked for years in a supervisory capacity, and in 2004 became the manager of the hospital which she truly enjoys.
She is divorced, with a college-aged son, David. Their pet family includes a Pomeranian named Lil-Man, a Chihuahua-Yorkie named Izzy, and the newest & prettiest member- an American Bulldog named Ryder! (Izzy still thinks she is the head-of-the household).
Chris enjoys traveling, horseback riding, raising orphaned squirrels, camping, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.

Technician
Mary Beach , RVT
|
Mary has been working in Veterinary Medicine since 1989. She began working at Duluth Animal Hospital in 1992, and while here earned her license as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2004.
Her interests in medicine include Comprehensive Dentistry for overall health, neonatal care, and wildlife.
She lives in Gainesville with her husband LeVant. She has a daughter, Jessica, and grandson, Joshua. She also lives with 2 dogs Lula & Darla, and 4 cats Vinny, Zelda, R.J., and Buck.
Her hobbies include reading, painting, drawing, gardening, and boating. |

Diane Simmons , RVT

Diane started working in veterinary medicine in 1997. She graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2002 with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been at Duluth Animal Hospital since she graduated college.
Her interests in veterinary medicine include Feline behavior and medicine, as well as ultrasound, radiology and opthamology.
She lives in Buford with her husband, David and 7 cats, Cupcake, Loki, Valen, Feona, Aurora, Miss Biscuit, and their newest addition Barbossa!
Her interests include computers, SciFi, comic books and visiting Walt Disney World! She does cat sitting in her spare time. |

Reception
Connie Bailey Connie is a true southern Georgia Peach, born and raised in the Atlanta area.
She graduated from Advanced Career Training in 1980. After working in the travel industry and customer service for many years, she joined Duluth Animal Hospital in 1993.
She is married, with one son and a beautiful grandson.She is also the proud parent of two rescued chihuahuas and one yorkie.
She enjoys shopping, going to the mountains and look forward to each new sunrise and the opportunity to be the best person she can be. |  View |
Christi Grace

Christi was born in Atlanta, Ga and moved to Duluth in 1984.
She began working in Veterinary Medicine at the age of 15 and came to Duluth Animal Hospital in 1992. She is a true animal lover and the proud and protective parent of 4 chihuahuas named Maya, Macy, Cricket and Sierra.
In addition to working at the hospital, Christi also does pet sitting in her spare time. Her other hobbies include shopping, going to the beach, shopping, gambling, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and more shopping! |

Barbara Jennings Barbara is married with 2 children and 2 grandsons. She graduated from the University of Florida
For 18 years she owned a furniture and design store in Charlotte, N. C., but retired when she moved to Duluth.
She joined Duluth Animal Hospital in 1998. She has 3 dogs, Riley, Bobby D, and Bella and a cat named G.C.
Her hobbbies are her children (2 legged and 4 legged), needlepoint,quilting, working in her garden, and boating with her family. She also does volunteer work with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. |  View |

Sandra Hayden
|
Sandra was born in Kansas and always knew she would work with animals. Her passion is horses and she would some day like to work with them. She lives with her dog Meeko, a female miniature pinscher. She has also started working part time as a veterinary assistant. Sandra is not sure what she wants to do long term, but is glad to be at DAH and have the opportunity to work with animals. |

Desiree DeLoy
David Early David began working in the kennel in 2008, and will continue while attending college. He has several dogs at home, and enjoys his work at the hospital.
His interests are anything outdoors, and working out!
Elizabeth Krueger Liz also works part time as a veterinary assistant.
Grooming
Joyce Bagley Joyce is proud to say that she is a native of the Atlanta area. She is a single mother of two teenage daughters and five chihuahuas. After working as a flight attendant with Eastern Airlines for thirteen years, she was given another opportunity to fulfill her other passion....working with animals.
She graduated from Pet Boutique Grooming School in 1991. She has been grooming at Duluth Animal Hospital since graduation.
Each day it is her desire to bring comfort and beauty to each pet that she grooms. |  View |

Sam Waldrip , Vet Assistant

Sam started in veterinary medicine in 1992. She moved to the Duluth area and started working at Duluth Animal Hospital in 2001.
Her interests in the veterinary field include Phlebotomy and Canine behavior and medicine.
She has two male black cats named B.C. and George, as well as a female pit bull named Trixie.
In her spare time she enjoys working in the yard, playing softball, and riding motorcycles! |

Heather Clark , Vet Assistant

Heather has worked in veterinary medicine sine 2001 and been with Duluth Animal Hospital since August 2006.
Her interests in veterinary medicine include laboratory work, surgery, and ultrasonograpy.
She lives with her fiance Brent, two dogs, Paducah and Sturgeon, and one cat, AnnaMolly.
In her spare time she enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and pet sitting.

Daniel Marshall , Vet Assistant Daniel started working in veterinary medicine in 2003. He joined Duluth Animal Hospital in 2007.
His interests include surgery, pharmacology and exotic animals.
His hobbies include mountain biking, playing Texas hold 'em and going out with friends. He also enjoys pet sitting and nature photography.
